Precipitation Reaction of SDS and Potassium Salts in Flocculation of a Micronized Megestrol Acetate Suspension
In this work attempts were made to evaluate K+-SDS and hydrocolloid polymer-SDS interactions in flocculation of megestrol acetate dispersions to enhancetheir stability as a part of suspension formulation. Different dispersions of micronized megestrol acetate and SDS were prepared. KCl and KH2PO4 and their corresponding sodium salts were added to the dispersions and the preparations were evaluat...
متن کاملCorrelation between intradialytic hypotension in patients undergoing routine hemodialysis and use of acetate compared in bicarbonate dialysate.
AIM To determine the incidence of intradialytic hypertension (IDH) during hemodialysis (HD) in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients using acetate dialysate compared to those using bicarbonate dialysate. METHODS This study was a double-blind cross-over randomized clinical trial. The effect of acetate and bicarbonate dialysate on blood pressure was analyzed in two consecutive HD sessions. Th...

متن کاملAcetate and bicarbonate in the correction of uraemic acidosis.
Uraemic acidosis was readily corrected by the infusion of sodium acetate solution, which gave comparable results to equivalent amounts of sodium bicarbonate infusion. Preliminary data suggest that this was true even in severe liver disease.
متن کاملAcetate Free Biofiltration with Potassium Profiled Dialysate (AFB-K)
Hyperkalaemia is a common, significant electrolyte disorder in uremia. Patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) undergoing haemodialysis (HD) accumulate potassium during the interdialysis period, and clearance of this potassium is one of the functions of haemodialysis. A sudden decrease in blood potassium levels during haemodialysis can induce or worsen arrhythmias, (Cupisti et al., 1999) part...
